About this blog

I've always loved to write about the Kaipara and its stories. Boondock Allegorist is a long-term creative project in the form of a series of creative essays incorporating storytelling, art, photography told from a perspective of both history and the 21st century. Subjects are varied ranging from ecology to political, social and economic changes affecting the Kaipara and its people - past and present.

Liz: I just love standing outside on a clear night and watching the stars. I love heritage and writing about it mixed in with my own thoughts about the people, places and things I encounter along my lifetime journey in rural Kaipara.
